I realized that I had a long weekend and that the weather was going to be fantastic up North. So I booked a long weekend and then Chad agreed to come along which was fantastict. So the two of us had a grand time hiking and exploring together.
The forests were all beautiful. This snap on our last morning has become a regular laptop wallpaper.It's truly impossible to capture the scale of these trees. They are HUGE. We stayed in a tiny and shrinking town. One morning we ate at this spot and were immediately joined by and old guy who had lived there all his life. He told us tons of stories about the town and the area.While it was indeed sunny and we had no rain, it was absolutely freezing for us California boys.Another attempt at capturing the scale of the trees.This is on our first morning. We absolutely loved hiking among these monsters.And this was a memorable walk up a canyon with walls covered in ferns. Lots of leaping and balancing in attempts to keep my feet dry.
