I often find myself hearing or seeing recommendations that I want to remember later. Movies, books, series, games, restaurants, hikes, etc. In the past I would take screenshots, or create Keep notes. But I always seemed to forget about and loose them.
Check your photos app for screenshots and you'll for sure see things that you meant to remember.
My solution
So I built an app to solve this need. The flow is this:
- Save something to remember later (text, screenshot, photo, whatever)
- It goes into an "inbox" for handling later (so that you can get on with your life)
- If you don't remember to check it out, the app will notify you
- Gemini processes whatever you put into (title, category)
- Either delete the thing, or more often, save it to the collections page
Example
Someone tells me about the show Pluribus. I want to remember to check it out later. So I take a screenshot and share to Memento. This is super fast, so that I can get back to my conversation.
Later when I open the app it is waiting in the Inbox.
It's automatically been categorized and is ready to save (or delete if I change my mind). I choose to save it because I do want to remember to check this show out.
Later, when I wondering about TV shows I can open Memento and check out the various things that have automatically been categorized in the "shows" collection.
Try it out
Test the app yourself in TestFlight
